Your Digital Legacy is a form of digital storytelling which focuses on capturing the narrative in a natural, candid way. Jocelyn’s approach allows for an unscripted and intimate dialogue to emerge on camera, which is then produced as a personalized feature film. Her videos showcase unique stories, often involving cultural, historical and community elements along with family traditions, fond memories and insights for younger generations.
‘Your Digital Legacy’ provides a platform for generations to connect, learn, share & celebrate for years to come.
Jocelyn Vieth started ‘Your Digital Legacy’ after completing graduate studies in Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. Not only did her education encourage her involvement and interest in the aging population, but it also stemmed from her passion of connecting with older adults and closing the gap between generations.
She believes everyone lives a unique life filled with a collection of beautiful experiences. These experiences create an individual(s) story. Each story needs to be told. Capturing these stories not only promotes self reflection by encouraging older adults to engage in their personal narrative, it preserves family history and facilitates intergenerational connection for years to come.
